UNDEREXPOSED: Emerging Photographer Portfolios

“Underexposed” is photo technique‘s ongoing, free call for entries to emerging photographers around the world. We are looking for cohesive portfolios demonstrating dynamic aesthetics, strong technical skill and conceptual depth.

Every month we will select portfolios to present on our online gallery in an effort to highlight the work of talented, emerging photographers.

• Please send 6-8 images of a single series, zip files preferred. We will not visit websites to view work. Jpeg files should be at least 100 dpi, 800 pixels on the longest side, and compression no less than 8. Please label your images as follows: Lastname_Firstinitial_file#.jpg; ex: “Smith_J_1.jpg.” Images that do not meet these parameters will not be reviewed. Only online submissions will be accepted. Images will be reviewed on the 15th of each month.

• Please include a title, paragraph about the portfolio you are submitting, your photographic interests, and current or future plans for a career in the field of photography. Also if you have any formal photographic education please include that, as well as links to your website, if applicable.
